Carboxypeptidase B (CPB) is a proteolytic enzyme that specifically catalyzes the removal of C-terminal basic amino acid residues, primarily lysine (Lys) and arginine (Arg), from proteins and peptides.

Recombinant CPB is widely used as a processing enzyme in biopharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly in the production and processing of recombinant proteins, insulin and peptide products. It can be applied to precursor processing, enzymatic cleavage and downstream process development.

Key Features: High enzymatic activity and batch-to-batch consistency; recombinant production; suitable for protein and peptide processing; suitable for process development, scale-up and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
