Application

DMPP can be added to solid or liquid ammoniumbased fertilizers to slow the transformation of ammoniumnitrogen (NH4+) into nitratenitrogen (NO3) in soil. Applied at a low dosage of 0.51.5 kg per hectare, it reduces nitrate leaching and nitrousoxide emissions, prolongs nitrogen supply for 410 weeks, greatly improves nitrogenuse efficiency and increases crop yields with no toxic residues. Besides agricultural use, it also works well in aquaculture to cut waterbody ammonianitrogen levels, purify water and maintain a stable, safe living environment for aquatic organisms.
