Drug Function and Efficacy
This product is a selective 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT4) receptor agonist. It promotes the release of acetylcholine by stimulating the 5-HT4 receptors of the gastrointestinal cholinergic interneurons and myenteric plexus, thereby enhancing the motility of the upper gastrointestinal tract (stomach and small intestine). Studies have shown that this product has the effect of promoting gastric and duodenal motility and accelerating gastric emptying.
