Magnevist Use and Manufacturing

Diagnostic aid. Clinical applications: 1. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain and spine: especially for tumor display and identification. Assist in the diagnosis of suspicious brain (spinal) meningioma, (acoustic) schwannoma, invasive tumors (such as glioma) and metastases; tumors that show small and (or) signals and recurrence after surgery or radiotherapy; Differential diagnosis of rare tumors, such as hemangioblastoma, ependymoma, and pituitary microadenoma; further determine the spread of non-brain-derived tumors. Magnetic resonance imaging of the spine: distinguishing tumors inside and outside the spinal cord; showing tumor parenchyma in known cavity lesions; determining the spread of tumors in the spinal cord. 2. Whole body magnetic resonance imaging: including facial and skull, neck, chest, abdomen, female breast, pelvic cavity and limbs.

Drug Function and Efficacy

It is used as a contrast agent in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to enhance the contrast between diseased tissue and normal tissue and improve the accuracy of imaging diagnosis.

This ingredient has been used in drugs with the following functions (note: it does not mean that the ingredient itself has the following health functions)
