2-(BENZYLOXY)-ETHYLAMINE Use and Manufacturing
General procedure: To a solution of 5a, b (3mmol) in ethanol (30mL) was added 85percent hydrazine hydrate (0.19mL, 3.3mmol) at 50°C. The reaction mixture was stirred at the same temperature for 4 h, cooled to room temperature and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure to give crude 6a, b (90percent).Step 3; 127 1282-(benryloxy)ethanamine (128): A solution of 127 (10 g, 35 mmol) in ethanol (200 mL) was treated with hydrazine (84 g, 71 mmol, 80 percent in water) at reflux for 12 hours. After a filtration, the filtrate was concentrated under vacuum to give a residue, which was purified by a silica gel column, eluted with 5 percent methanol in dichloromethane to afford 128 as light yellow oil (4 g, 74 percent). (ES, m/z) [M+Hf 152.0; NMR (300 MHz, CDC1A solution of 127 (10 g, 35 mmol) in ethanol (200 mL) was treated with hydrazine (84 g, 71 mmol, 80 percent in water) at reflux for 12 hours. After a filtration, the filtrate was concentrated under vacuum to give a residue, which was purified by a silica gel column, eluted with 5 percent methanol in dichloromethane to afford 128 as light yellow oil (4 g, 74 percent).
