CADMIUM SULFATE Use and Manufacturing
In the metal cadmium method, metal cadmium, distilled water and sulfuric acid are added to the reactor, and then 30% H2O2 is slowly added for reaction. The generated cadmium sulfate is filtered, concentrated and crystallized, and then centrifuged and dried to obtain cadmium sulfate. The Cd+H2S04[H2O2]→CdSO4+2H2O cadmium-containing zinc waste residue method dissolves the cadmium-containing zinc powder waste residue by sulfuric acid to remove impurities, and then filters, and the filtrate is concentrated, crystallized, and centrifugally dehydrated to produce a cadmium sulfate finished product. Its Cd+H2SO4→CdSO4+H2↑CdO2 method dissolves cadmium oxide in sulfuric acid, removes impurities, evaporates and crystallizes, centrifugally dehydrates, and dries below 50°C to produce 98% cadmium sulfate.
Applied in the formation of novel two-dimensional Cd-SCN coordination solids with unusual and tailorable, checkerboard- or herringbone-patterned structures these structures are important steps toward technologically useful materials.1
