Yttrium fluoride Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Chemically dissolve yttrium oxide in hydrochloric acid and dilute to 100-150 g/L (according to Y2O3), the solution is heated to 70-80℃, and then precipitated with 48% hydrofluoric acid. The precipitate is washed, filtered, dried and crushed, and vacuum dehydrated to produce yttrium fluoride.

Uses

Recent studies include InF3-based glasses, and optical characterization of YF3 thin films.
