HOLMIUM CARBONATE HYDRATE Use and Manufacturing
Holmium Carbonate has specialized uses in ceramics, glass, phosphors and metal halide lamp, and dopant to garnet laser. Holmium lasers are used in medical, dental, and fiber-optical applications. They are therefore used as a calibration standard for optical spectrophotometers, and are available commercially. It is one of the colorants used for cubic zirconia and glass, providing yellow or red coloring.
