Methods of Manufacturing

The burning method reacts holmium nitrate solution with alkali to form holmium hydroxide, and then separates and burns to prepare holmium oxide. 2Ho(OH)3→Ho2O3+3H2O

Uses

Holmium is used in metal halogen lamp additives, yttrium iron or yttrium aluminum garnet additives, fiber lasers, fiber amplifiers, fiber sensors, etc. Used as an admixture for various garnets, manufacturing metal halogen lamps, etc.
