Boron phosphate Use and Manufacturing
The phosphoric acid-boric acid method is a more common production method. The phosphoric acid-boric acid method can be divided into the following two processes. Mix phosphoric acid and boric acid, and heat at 80-100°C to react, or mix phosphoric acid solution and boric acid solution and evaporate to dryness on a water bath. The amorphous substance obtained in this way is burned at 1000°C for 2 hours and then converted into crystalline boron phosphate. The boron phosphate prepared by the above reaction at 80-100°C is easily soluble in water; and after intense heat (about 1000°C), it becomes a finished product of boron phosphate that is insoluble in water. H3BO3+H3P04→BPO4+3H2O Mix 3.44 g of crystalline boric acid and 6.44 mol of 85% phosphoric acid, the molar ratio of the two is P2O5: B2O3=0.85:1, then add 3.65 g of ammonium phosphate, the ratio is (NH4)2HPO4: B2O3= 0.5:1, in the obtained mixture, generally the content is about P2O5: B203=1.1:1, while adding 5g formaldehyde solution, the corresponding molar ratio is CH2O: B2O3=1.2:1, and then the above mixture Add it to a small narrow-necked container made of polytetrafluoroethylene, stir well, react at 150°C for 24h, filter, wash with distilled water, first calcinate at 110°C and then 300°C to obtain a crystalline boron phosphate product. H3PO4+H3B03→BPO4+3H2O
