DL-O-METHYLSERINE Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

1) A reaction flask was charged with 215 g of methyl acrylate. The temperature was raised to 55°C and 500 g of bromine was added dropwise. Incubation reaction 1 hour. 60°C vacuum concentration to remove excess bromine. To the residue was added 1260 g of methanol. Cooling to -17°C, 127 g of sodium methoxide was added. Incubation reaction 5.5 hours. At the end of the reaction, the methanol was removed by concentration under reduced pressure. 750 g of aqueous ammonia was added. 20-25°C heat preservation reaction 3 hours. The crystals were concentrated to obtain 260 g of O-methyl-DL-serine.Thereinafter, examples of amino acid residues which are substituted with each other are shown. ... alanine, 2-aminobutanoic acid, methionine, Thereinafter, preferred examples of amino acid residues which are substituted with each other are shown. ... alanine, 2-aminobutanoic acid, methionine, Herein, examples of amino acid residues which are substituted with each other are shown below. ... norvaline, alanine, 2-aminobutanoic acid, methionine, Herein, examples of amino acid residues which are substituted with each other are shown below. ... alanine, 2-aminobutanoic acid, methionine,

Uses

O-Methylserine acts as a reagent for the synthesis of D-serine transporter inhibitors which are used pharmaceutically for the treatment of visual system disorders and enhancement of the visual functions.
