Description

Aclidinium Bromide(LAS 34273; LAS-W 330) is a long-acting, inhaled muscarinic antagonist as a maintenance treatment for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). IC50 value:Target: M3 receptorPreclinically, aclidinium showed potent antagonism of human muscarinic receptors, with a long residence time at M3 receptors and a shorter residence time at M2 receptors, indicating the potential to provide sustained bronchodilation. Aclidinium is rapidly hydrolysed in human plasma, unlike other

Aclidinium bromide is a quaternary ammonium salt that is the bromide salt of aclidinium. A muscarinic acetylcholine M3 receptor antagonist, for the long-term maintenance treatment of bronchospasm associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It has a role as a muscarinic antagonist and a bronchodilator agent. It is a quaternary ammonium salt and an organic bromide salt. It contains an aclidinium.|Aclidinium is a synthetic anticholinergic agent that is used as an inhalant for treatment of acute bronchospasm due to chronic bronchitis or emphysema. Aclidinium has not been implicated in causing liver enzyme elevations or clinically apparent acute liver injury.

Each notification may be associated with multiple companies.

Toxicity

Like other anticholinergic agents, aclidinium has not been linked to episodes of liver enzyme elevations or clinically apparent liver injury. A major reason for its safety may relate to the low systemic absorption and exposure associated with anticholinergic agents administered by inhaler.
