Solvent Orange 63 Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Using 3-bromobenzene anthrone and o-aminothiophenol as raw materials, the two are first condensed, then the amino group is diazotized, and then the product is obtained by ring closure. . Add 12.4g of 3-bromophenanthrone, 6.5g of o-aminothiophenol, 100ml of dimethylformamide (DMF), and an appropriate amount of sodium carbonate into the reaction flask, protect it with nitrogen, increase the temperature to 90°C, and reach the end of the reaction. Cool to room temperature, filter, wash, and dry to obtain the condensation intermediate 3-(2'-aminophenylmercapto) benzopyranthrone for use. Add 7.0g of 3-(2'-aminophenylmercapto) benzoxanthone, 100ml of N-methylpyrrolidone, and 3.0g of concentrated sulfuric acid to the reaction flask. Cool down to 5°C. Add sodium nitrite aqueous solution dropwise and add within 30min. After that, continue to stir the reaction until the condensation intermediate disappears. Then a small amount of CuSO4 was added, the temperature was raised to 110°C, and the reaction reached the end. Cool, filter, wash, and dry to obtain a purple-red powder product.

Widely used for coloring of polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, ordinary polystyrene and polyester resin
