Ethylene-methacrylic acid copolymer Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Add 1 000 kg of benzene and 80 kg of vinyl acetate to the polymerization kettle in sequence, then flush the reactor with nitrogen, then flush with ethylene, then heat to 105 ℃, and pressurize ethylene until the pressure rises to 6.38 MPa in 2.5 h Internally pump 20 kg/h of vinyl acetate with a pump, a total of 290 kg. Within 2.5 h, the catalyst solution of dilauroyl peroxide (100 kg/h) was continuously added at a constant rate, and a total of 250 kg was added. The reaction was conducted at 105 ℃ for 10 min, and the temperature was lowered to 60 ℃ to discharge. Blow out the solvent with nitrogen to obtain a white emulsion.

Uses

Molded or extruded parts requiring flexibility, tensile strength and low temperature impact and adhesion.
