Methods of Manufacturing

The preparation method is to put the prepared acetaldoxime aqueous solution from the oximation kettle into the chlorination kettle, start stirring, and simultaneously pass frozen brine into the chlorination kettle jacket and inner coil to cool down the temperature. When the temperature drops to -18~-15℃, the chlorine gas is ventilated. The chlorine gas velocity is controlled by the rotameter, and the total chlorine gas is controlled by the scale. The temperature of the chlorination reaction is strictly controlled at -10~-8℃. After the chlorine gas has been ventilated, keep warm and stir for 10 minutes, then start the vacuum pump, and slowly add a metered amount of soda ash into the chlorination kettle to neutralize it at the same time as α-chloroacetaldoxime Hydrogen chloride produced. Reaction equation: CH3CH=NOH+Cl2→CH3CCl=NOH+HCl

Uses

1-Chloroacetaldehyde oxime is an intermediate for the synthesis of pesticides metoprolol, thiodiazepam and velvet.
