Disodium glycyrrhizinate Use and Manufacturing
It is refined by partial neutralization of glycyrrhizin and sodium alkali. The licorice powder is boiled and extracted with five times water, the solids are filtered out, and dilute sulfuric acid is added to make it weakly acidic. Place at room temperature until the precipitate settles, remove the supernatant liquid, wash the precipitate with ammonia, filter, and add acetic acid to the filtrate to precipitate glycyrrhizin ammonium, recrystallize with 70% to 80% ethanol, add sodium carbonate according to the theoretical value The aqueous solution was concentrated under reduced pressure.
Used as a sweetener, used in medicine, food, sauce products, beverages and other industries; sweetener. Japan is limited to soy sauce (0.015g/L) and: soybean paste (0.03～0.07g/kg).
