5-Thiazolamine, hydrochloride (1:1) Use and Manufacturing

Synthesis of thiazol-5-amine hydrochloride (380): To a stirred solution of compound 379 (300 mg, 1.5 mmol) in MeOH (5 mL) was added 4 N HC1 in 1, 4-Dioxane (5 mL) under argon atmosphere at 0 °C; warmed to RT and stirred for 3 h. The reaction was monitored by TLC; after completion of the reaction, the volatiles were removed in vacuo to obtain the crude. The crude was washed with n-pentane (2 x 5 mL) and dried in vacuo to afford compound 380 (150 mg, HC1 salt) as pale yellow solid. TLC: 50percent EtOAc/ hexanes (R 0.1); 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6, 500 MHz): ö 9.10 (s, 1H), 7.22 (s, 1H).
