Description

Vicenin 3 is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor (IC50=46.91 μM) from the aerial parts of Desmodium styracifolium[1].


Vicenin-3 is a C-glycosyl compound that is apigenin substituted by a beta-D-glucosyl group and a beta-D-xylosyl group at positions 6 and 8 respectively. It has a role as a plant metabolite. It is a C-glycosyl compound and a trihydroxyflavone. It derives from an isovitexin.
