Description

colorless gas, unstable at room temp and rapidly decomposes to Bi and H2; can be prepared by disproportionation of either methyl or ethyl-bismuthine; enthalpy of vaporization about 25.15kJ/mol; finds use in manufacturing Ge or Si semiconductors [MER06] [KIR78]


Bismuthane is a mononuclear parent hydride and a bismuth hydride. It is a conjugate base of a bismuthonium.
