6-BroMo-1,3-diMethyl-1H-i... Use and Manufacturing

Methanesulfonic acid 2-acetyl-5-bromophenyl ester was prepared as described in International Application Publication Number WO 2005/090305 (Example 40a). Methanesulfonic acid 2-acetyl-5- bromophenyl ester was then treated with methylhydrazine and ammonium acetate at reflux for 6 days to provided 6-bromo-1 , 3-dimethyl-1 H-indazole (60percent). A solution of 6-bromo-1 , 3-dimethyl-1 H-indazole in THF was treated with n-BuLi followed by carbon dioxide to afford the title compound (1.23 g, 60percent).
