3-BROMO-2-HYDROXY-5-METHYLPYRIDINE Use and Manufacturing
5-Methyl-pyridin-2-ol (1 g, 9.16 mmol) was dissolved in 4 mL of CS2. Br2 (0.47 mL) was added thereto, andthe mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. Sodium thiosulfate (Na2S2O3) aqueous solution was addedthereto, and the reaction solution was extracted with EtOAc.
