4.2.2 A mixture of 4(3.1g, 0.012mol) in 50 ml EtOH was treated with LiOH (0.43g, 0.018mol)in 10ml water. The reaction mixture was stirred for 20 h at room temperature and then mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was diluted with water and PH was adjusted to 4 by the addition of IN HC1. The precipitates was collected by filtration and dried over vacuum to give 5 (2.32g, 80percent)
