Intermediate C in an amount of 34.5 g (97.1 mmol) and thionyl chloride in an amount of 250 g into a flask, the resultant solution was refluxed for about 1.5 hours. Distillating away an excesst of thionyl chloride, a resultant yellow solid was purified by means of silica column (toluene). Distillating away the solvent from a resultant mixture, 14.7 g of Intermediate D as white crystals was obtained (yield: 73.1 percent).Intermediate C in an amount of 34.5 g (97.1 mmol) and thionyl chloride in an amount of 250 g into a flask, the resultant solution was refluxed for about 1.5 hours.
