DCU Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Derived by chlorination of ethyl carbamate. Stir the ethyl carbamate, sodium acetate, glacial acetic acid and water together, and introduce chlorine gas for reaction. After reaching the end point, the organic layer was separated, washed with 20% brine, distilled under reduced pressure, and collected 74-76°C (2.0kPa) fractions to obtain N, N-dichlorocarbamate with a yield of 80%.

Uses

Organic synthesis intermediate.
