Deoxysotalol is the metabolite of Sotalol (S677300), a potent α-adrenergic receptor antagonist and A class III antiarrythmic. Several studies have examined deoxysotalol on its effects on prostaglandin (PGF2a and 15-methyl PGF2α)-evoked contraction using isolated rat uterus and also in potentiating the contractile effects of Oxytocin (O878500).
