Methods of Manufacturing

2, 4-Dichlorobenzaldehyde was added to the fuming nitric acid cooled to -5°C in batches. After the addition was completed, the reaction was stirred at 0°C for 6h. Then the reaction solution was poured into crushed ice to separate out the precipitate, filtered, dried, and recrystallized with ethanol to obtain a finished product with a yield of 49%.
