Drug Function and Efficacy

Abrocitinib is a Janus kinase (JAK) 1 inhibitor that reversibly and selectively inhibits JAK1, regulates signaling pathways, and prevents the phosphorylation and activation of signal transducers and activators of transcription (STAT), thereby affecting cell hematopoietic function and immune cell function. Abrocitinib has higher selectivity for JAK1 than other JAK isozymes and can cause a dose-dependent decrease in serum inflammatory markers.
