Description

Sodium perborate (NaBO3) tetrahydrate is a white, odorless compound that is crystalline in powder form with a melting point of 60 °C and a density of 1.73. It is odorless, highly hygroscopic, and soluble in water. It is produced by the reaction of sodium metaborate with hydrogen peroxide to form hydrated sodium perborate. This chemical is a hydrated sodium salt that has antiseptic, cleaning and deodorizing properties. It is used as an oxidant in organic synthesis and participates in various oxidation reactions of aniline and sulfide. Sodium perborate (NaBO3) tetrahydrate is stable and incompatible with heavy metal salts, strong reducing agents, strong acids and organic materials. The upstream raw materials of sodium perborate (NaBO3) tetrahydrate are solid sodium hydroxide, sodium metaborate, magnesium silicate.

Sodium perborate (NaBO3) tetrahydrate Use and Manufacturing

Sodium perborate (PBS) is a white, odorless, water-soluble chemical compound with the chemical formula NaBO3. It crystallizes as the monohydrate, NaBO3·H2O, trihydrate, NaBO3·3H2O and tetrahydrate, NaBO3·4H2O. The monohydrate and tetrahydrate are the commercially important forms. The elementary structural unit of sodium perborates is a dimer anion B2O4(OH)42−, in which two boron atoms are joined by two peroxo bridges in a chair-shaped 6-membered ring, and the simplistic NaBO3·nH2O-type formulas
