Methyl methoxyacetate Use and Manufacturing
It is derived from methyl chloroacetate and sodium methoxide by methoxylation. Sodium methoxide was added to the reaction pot, and methyl chloroacetate was added with stirring. The temperature was controlled at about 30°C at the beginning, and then kept at about 70°C for the reaction. If the temperature is too high, the color quality of the finished product will be affected; if the temperature is too low, the reaction speed will be too slow. After the feeding is completed, the pH value is measured at the later stage of the reaction. If the pH value is less than 9, sodium methoxide should be added to adjust and the reaction is kept warm until the end. The reaction product distills out methyl methoxyacetate in the desalting pot, and the sodium chloride produced by the reaction remains in the desalting pot.
Intermediate for pharmaceutical synthesis, mainly used to synthesize weekly effect sulfonamide, vitamin B6, etc.
