Description
Tigogenin, one of steroidal sapogenins, is widely used for synthesizing steroid drugs. Tigogenin inhibits adipocytic differentiation and induces osteoblastic differentiation in mouse bone marrow stromal cells[1].
Tigogenin is a widely used steroidal sapogenin isolated from several plant species and used for synthesizing steroid drugs. It has a role as a gout suppressant and a plant metabolite.

Used as a raw material for hormone drugs Raw materials for anordrin, dehydromethyltestosterone, Anadrol, etc.; used as raw materials for hormone drugs; sisal saponins are derived from hemp juice and hemp residue discarded after the production of traditional sisal fiber products The extracted natural plant saponins are pharmaceutical intermediates and important raw materials for the synthesis of steroid hormone drugs. They are widely used in the manufacture of more than 200 drugs in the three categories of adrenal cortex hormones, sex hormones and anabolic hormones.
