Disodium 4-dodecyl-2,4′-oxydibenzenesulfonate Use and Manufacturing
Put dodecyl diphenyl ether into the reaction kettle, and start to add fuming sulfuric acid (SO320%～25%) dropwise at about 15°C. The molar ratio of dodecyl diphenyl ether to fuming sulfuric acid is 1:2.2. After the dropping of fuming sulfuric acid, the temperature was raised to 50°C and reacted for 3 hours. Then let it stand for 3h to remove the waste acid from the lower layer. The upper liquid is dodecyl diphenyl ether disulfonic acid. Neutralize with sodium hydroxide aqueous solution to a pH of about 8 and the reaction is over. The output packaging is finished product.
This product is used as an emulsifier for emulsion polymerization, and a leveling agent for nylon printing and dyeing industry. In the detergent industry, it is used as a wetting agent, a coupling agent, and a stabilizer.
