Laudanine is a benzyltetrahydroisoquinoline that is norlaudanosoline carrying four methyl substituents at positions N-1, O-6, O-7 and O-4'. It is a benzyltetrahydroisoquinoline, a benzylisoquinoline alkaloid, a member of phenols and an aromatic ether. It derives from a norlaudanosoline. It is a conjugate base of a laudanine(1+).
