Methods of Manufacturing

Pass the dry hydrogen chloride gas into the mixture of ethoxyacetic acid and absolute ethanol, and pass it to saturation under cooling, and let it stand for 24 hours at room temperature to complete the reaction. Carefully add saturated sodium carbonate solution until the reaction solution is alkaline to litmus. Extract with ether, the extract is evaporated to remove ether and then distilled under normal pressure. Collect the positive boiling point fractions to obtain ethyl ethoxyacetate with a yield of 69%-72%.
