Description

Fluticasone propionate is a high affinity, selective GR (glucocorticoid receptor) agonist which is derived from fluticasone used to treat asthma and allergic rhinitis.Target: Glucocorticoid ReceptorFluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid derived from fluticasone used to treat asthma and allergic rhinitis. It is also used to treat eosinophilic esophagitis. Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic trifluorinated glucocorticoid. It is highly lipophilic (logp octanol/water 3.69). In studies

Drug Function and Efficacy

It is a highly effective glucocorticoid with local anti-inflammatory effects. After transdermal administration, the inhibitory effect on the HPA axis is very weak, so its therapeutic index is higher than most commonly used steroid preparations. Subcutaneous injection produces a strong systemic glucocorticoid effect, but the oral effect is weak, which may be due to metabolic inactivation. In vitro tests have shown that this drug has a strong affinity and stimulatory effect on the human glucocorticoid receptor. Fluticasone propionate has no expected pheromone effect and has no obvious effect on the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, and respiratory system.

This ingredient has been used in drugs with the following functions (note: it does not mean that the ingredient itself has the following health functions)
