Methods of Manufacturing

It can be obtained by distillation and separation from fir oil; the industrial synthesis method is obtained by heating borneol and acetic acid in the presence of sodium acetate. The purity is above 98%.

Uses

Widely used in soaps, cosmetics, and aromatic disinfectants for indoor disinfection and sterilization. It is an important component of indoor spray essence, bath essence and talcum powder. A small amount is used for food spices.

Drug Function and Efficacy

An oxygenated monoterpene found in pine oil, contributing to its characteristic scent and may enhance antimicrobial activity when combined with other disinfectants.
