2,4-Dichlorobenzyl chloride Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

The preparation method is based on 2, 4-dichlorotoluene as a raw material, adding a little PCl3 as a catalyst, heating to 120°C, chlorinating with chlorine gas under light conditions, controlling the amount of chlorine gas and performing intermediate control with GC. It is 2, 4-dichlorobenzyl chloride, and there is also a small amount of 2, 4-dichlorobenzylidene dichloride. In addition, azobisisobutyronitrile can also be used as a catalyst to chlorinate with 2, 4-dichlorotoluene as the raw material at an appropriate temperature to control the amount of chlorine gas and GC intermediate control to obtain 2, 4-dichlorobenzene Benzyl chloride.

Uses

Reagent used in the addition of dichlorobenzene.
