1-(4-isopropylphenyl)-1-methylethyl hydroperoxide Use and Manufacturing

Uses

By-product burned as waste.

By-product burned as waste.

1-(4-Isopropylphenyl)-1-methylethyl hydroperoxide can be used as an initiator for styrene-butadiene rubber polymerization, its initiation speed is 30-50% faster than cumene hydrogen peroxide, but slower than tricumene hydrogen peroxide and tert-butyl cumene hydrogen peroxide. It can also be used as initiator for other polymers. This product can cause burns when it comes into contact with the skin.
