Description
Dry, light-tan powder. Readily soluble in hot and cold water; both powder and solutions fairly stable. Combustible. Polyarabinogalactan possesses a soft, balsamic terpenic odor, reminiscent of fresh conifer resins and cones. It is a turpentinetype of a natural oleoresin. It occurs as a physiological secretion in the larch tree, Larix decidua, a conifer.

L-Arabino-D-galactan Use and Manufacturing
The thin slices of the roots and trunks of the Larix occidentalis and its genus are extracted with hot water, and 50% to 60% ethanol is added to the extract to precipitate it, which is obtained by refining and processing into powder.
Thickeners, stabilizers, emulsifiers, compatibilizers, polishes, binders. Used for emulsifying flavor; base material of seasoning, sauce and pudding, etc. Instead of gum arabic. It is also used in noodles, bread and sausages.
