Polyethylene glycol monooleyl ether Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Put 1 mol of oleic acid and a catalyst amount of potassium hydroxide into the reaction kettle, gradually increase the temperature, and vacuum for dehydration. After the water is removed, the air in the kettle is replaced with nitrogen. After the air is removed, n mol of ethylene oxide is introduced. The reaction temperature is maintained at 180-200°C and the pressure is 0.2-0.3 MPa. After the ethylene oxide is passed through, cool down, pour the material into the neutralization kettle and adjust the pH value to 6.0-7.0 with glacial acetic acid, add hydrogen peroxide to decolorize, cool down, and pack the finished product.

Uses

This product is used as an emulsifying wetting agent, a dispersant in the rubber industry, and one of the components of an oil spill dispersant in the petroleum industry and environmental protection industry. Used as ether ester non-ionic surfactant
