Methods of Manufacturing

Diphenylamine and concentrated sulfuric acid react at 180°C to form diphenylamine sulfonic acid, and then sodium hydroxide and barium chloride are used to obtain sodium salt.

Uses

Redox indicator (E0 in sulfuric acid 1 mol/l = +0,83 volt, rH = 27−29).
