ChEBI: N(gamma)-nitro-L-arginine is an L-arginine derivative that is L-arginine in which the terminal nitrogen of the guanidyl group is replaced by a nitro group. It is a L-arginine derivative, a N-nitro compound, a member of guanidines and a non-proteinogenic L-alpha-amino acid.
Experimental reproductiveeffects. When heated to decomposition it emits toxicvapors of NOx.
