Methods of Manufacturing

Put dimethylhexadecylamine into the reaction kettle, add carbon tetrachloride, and stir to dissolve. Slowly add 1, 3-propylene sulfinolactone (theoretical amount) at about 40 ℃. The temperature is controlled between 40 and 50 ℃. After the dripping is completed, the temperature is raised and refluxed for 1 h, and the temperature is cooled down to 30 ℃. Benzene is allowed to stand still, and the product will be obtained by filtering and vacuum drying after precipitation.

Uses

Zwitterionic surfactants (detergents) are used to extract proteins for chromatography, spectroscopy and electrophoresis analysis. The product dissolves protein without denaturing the protein, and it is in a wide pH range.
