Acenaphthylene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) with three aromatic rings. It is used to manufacture plastics. Intermediate for dyes, soaps, pigments, pharmaceuticals, insec-ticide, fungicide, herbicide, and plant growth hormones. Acenaphthylene Use and Manufacturing
Derived from acenaphthene by gas-phase catalytic dehydrogenation: put the industrial acenaphthene into the melting kettle and heat it with indirect steam to melt it all.
