N,N-Diethyl-3-nitrobenzenamine Use and Manufacturing
General procedure: To a solution of 1-bromo-3-nitrobenzene (1 eq.) in 1, 4-dioxane (0.45 M) was added corresponding amine (1.4 eq.), palladium (II) acetate(0.12 eq.), cesium carbonate (2 eq.) and XantPhos (0.12 eq.). The reaction mixturewas heated at 80 C under nitrogen for 8 h. After cooling to room temperature, the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with water twice and then with brine. The organic fraction was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by columnchromatography (SiO2, ethyl acetate/hexanes) to give the desired product.
