Drop the cold trimethylamine solution into propylene oxide below 0°C, keep it at 5-10°C, and continue the reaction for 2h, add hydrochloric acid to adjust to pH=2-3, and distill under reduced pressure to 120-130°C (61.3kPa ). The residue is cooled, add absolute ethanol, heat to dissolve, filter while hot, and cool to crystallize. Filter, dry, and recrystallize with n-butanol to obtain the finished product.
Used as electroplating additive, textile printing and dyeing auxiliary, used to prepare cationic starch, anion exchange resin, antistatic agent, etc.
