Description

Dihydroxyfumaric acid is a 2-hydroxydicarboxylic acid consisting of fumaric acid having two hydroxy groups at the 2- and 3-positions. It is a 2-hydroxydicarboxylic acid and a C4-dicarboxylic acid. It derives from a fumaric acid. It is a conjugate acid of a dihydroxyfumarate(2-).
