4-Ethoxy-1,2-benzenediamine Use and Manufacturing
1,2-Benzenediamine, 4-ethoxy-: INACTIVE|TETRAAMINOPYRIMIDINES (R-R5= FOR EXAMPLE H, CL-4 ALKYL, OR (CH2)NX, WHERE X= OH, HALOGEN, OR UNSUBSTITUTED OR SUBSTITUTED AMINO GROUP) ARE USEFUL AS DEVELOPERS IN OXIDATIVE HAIR DYES. TETRAAMINOPYRIMIDINES CAN COMBINE WITH VARIOUS PHENOLIC COUPLERS SUCH AS 2,4-DIAMINOPHENOL AT PH 8-10 TO FORM YELLOW AND BROWN DYES WITH GOOD FASTNESS. THE COMPONENTS MAY BE COUPLED IN THE PRESENCE OF EITHER ATMOSPHERIC OXYGEN OR (TO LIGHTEN THE SHADE) HYDROGEN PEROXIDE.
