Methods of Manufacturing

Put 1 mol of solid dodecylamine into the reactor to heat and melt, and then vacuum. Gradually increase the temperature to 100 ℃, maintain this temperature and distill under reduced pressure for 10-30 min to remove dodecylamine carbonate. After the molten dodecylamine was cooled to 30°C under stirring, 1.1 mol of methyl acrylate was added dropwise under vigorous stirring. During the dropping process, the reaction temperature was maintained at 25-30°C. After the addition is complete, continue to stir at 20 ~ 25 ℃ until the exotherm is complete. Then the excess methyl acrylate was evaporated under reduced pressure. In addition, add 1.1 mol of sodium hydroxide to the neutralization kettle and dissolve in water, then add the above reactants dropwise to the aqueous sodium hydroxide solution for saponification, then neutralize the saponification with an appropriate amount of hydrochloric acid, and adjust the pH to 8.2 to obtain the product .

Uses

This product is an amino acid-type amphoteric surfactant, used as a detergent, cleaning conditioner, antistatic agent for synthetic fibers, softener, etc. It can also be used in shampoos.
