Description

orange powder

Metanil yellow is an organic sodium salt having 3-[(4-anilinophenyl)diazenyl]benzene-1-sulfonate as the counterion. Used in one variant of Masson's trichrome to stain collagen yellow in contrast to the red muscle, but is not in common used. It has a role as a histological dye. It contains a 3-[(4-anilinophenyl)diazenyl]benzene-1-sulfonate.

Drug Information

Substances that augment, stimulate, activate, potentiate, or modulate the immune response at either the cellular or humoral level. The classical agents (Freund's adjuvant, BCG, Corynebacterium parvum, et al.) contain bacterial antigens. Some are endogenous (e.g., histamine, interferon, transfer factor, tuftsin, interleukin-1). Their mode of action is either non-specific, resulting in increased immune responsiveness to a wide variety of antigens, or antigen-specific, i.e., affecting a restricted type of immune response to a narrow group of antigens. The therapeutic efficacy of many biological response modifiers is related to their antigen-specific immunoadjuvanticity. Acid Yellow 36 Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Using m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid and diphenylamine as raw materials, m-aminobenzenesulfonic acid is diazotized and coupled with diphenylamine to obtain the product. After salting out, filtering, drying and crushing, the finished product is obtained. .

Uses

As indicator in 0.1% solution, of which 2 drops are required for 10 ml liquid.pH:1.2 red to 2.3 yellow.
