Methods of Manufacturing

The roasting method burns metal manganese or manganese oxides, hydroxides, sulfates, carbonates, sulfites, nitrates and permanganates in air or oxygen at 1000°C, then cools and crushes Prepare trimanganese tetroxide. For example, using high-purity β-MnO2 as raw material, roasting in a boiling furnace at 980-1000°C, cooling and pulverizing to obtain γ-Mn3O4 product. The 3MnO2→Mn3O4+O2 reduction method uses manganese dioxide or manganese ore as raw materials. It is first roasted into manganese trioxide, and then further reduced at 250 to 500°C in the presence of methane gas to form trimanganese tetroxide, which is cooled and crushed The finished product of trimanganese tetroxide is obtained. 2MnOOH→Mn2O3+H2O3Mn2O3+0.25CH4→2Mn3O4+0.25CO2+0.5H2O
